About Me

I Am Sheila!

I am a daughter and a sister, a niece and an aunt, some may even call me great. ;)
I have a wonderful group of friends, both near and far, and I value each and every one of them.

I am a graphic designer, a writer, a potter, a crafter, and forever a student.

I am a creative and curious soul with a desire to do the best I can, at everything I do.

I strive for perfection, but understand that sometimes the flaws are what make the world beautiful.

I enjoy being near people who can teach me new and exciting things. I'm also happy to share my knowledge and experiences.

I believe that effective communication can prevent or solve most problems.

I look at most things with a creative eye and often see things from strange and unusual angles.

I love music and movies and laughing. I'm not afraid of emotion, though I do feel that sometimes it's very personal and private.

I'm not perfect.

I see inspiration in others and strive to better myself every day.

I'm also rather logical and analytical. I try to figure out why things go wrong, don't work, or just annoy me. I then do my best to put what I've learned into practice.

I love sushi and bacon. I'll try almost anything, but generally prefer savory over sweet.

What really touches my heart is innocents and raw truth. I've found it in the laugh of a child, the eyes of a dog, and in the play of a kitten; but I've also found it in the raw emotion of lovers, and in eyes of the older and wiser, and in lyrics, art, film. It's almost everywhere.

I love to see my friends and family smile, and to hear them laugh, or chuckle, or giggle.

I believe that experiencing each day, each moment to the fullest, is what life is all about, what makes it all worth the effort.

I'm also more than all of these words put together.

I'm not sure that anyone will ever really know me, or anyone else, simply by reading a web page, but perhaps knowing even just a little bit about each other, brings us closer together as a global society. Our similarities may bring us together, but it's our differences that truly make this world a beautiful place.

...and also bacon, did I mention bacon?

...but what about crabs?
